Casa Dog

Founded on April 19, 2019, Casa Dog is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization that serves South King & Pierce County. Their main office is in Puyallup, Washington, and they are solely a foster-based organization.

From Portland to Mill Creek, they have foster children. They rescue dogs locally, in California, and from Mexico.

Unfortunately, there are always dogs who need to be saved. Their goal is to find devoted homes for dogs that were never given a chance.

All of the money donated by Casa Dog is used to support four to five spay and neuter clinics annually. They want to spay or neuter 1-2 dogs for every adopted dog.

The money for this will come from adoption fees and kind contributions.

Prison Pet Partnership

Prison Pet Partnership offers inmates the chance to gain useful vocational pet care skills when they return to their regular life. Inmates in their office develop secretarial skills in addition to training, boarding, and grooming canines.

Prisoners who work for them must stay with them for at least two years to give them enough experience in the pet care profession. PPP accepts rescue dogs and pups from other service dog organizations bred specifically for training and placement as service and therapy dogs.

A local charity dog rescue organization, NorthWest Wag Rescue, is dedicated to helping canines find a second shot at life, love, and happiness. Their mission is to assist these lovely animals’ rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing since too many dogs are abandoned, abused, and undernourished.

Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League

To help with Malamute Rescue in Washington State, Cindy Neely established the Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League (WAMAL) in 1998. Since then, WAMAL has grown into Oregon. Malamutes (or Mal-enough-a-mutes!) who, through no fault of their own, find themselves without a home or in need of a new home are rescued, rehabilitated, and re-homed by WAMAL.

They are a part of AMAL, a nationwide network of rescue organizations, and they serve the larger Northwest. WAMAL works with shelters to take in stray dogs and puppies needing extra care during adoption and actively seeks out adopters. 

They aim to offer hope to families who must re-home their malamutes when life suddenly takes a turn for the worse. Families who struggle to keep their four-legged family members can benefit from WAMAL’s support and training.

Church of Pug

Church of Pug is a Washington state-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The aim is to find homes for needy pugs, pug mixes, and other brachycephalic breeds* after their rescue, rehabilitation, and permanent placement.

They are a no-kill rescue and pledge to save any pug*, regardless of age, health status, past, or location. In Washington State, the Church of Pug aspires to serve as a resource for the neighborhood. It offers mobility aids, including wheelchairs, strollers, and ramps, without charge.
