Central MS Turtle Rescue

The Central MS Turtle Rescue was established in 2013 due to the enthusiasm and commitment of two individuals who saw the region’s need for a reputable turtle rescue center. Wild turtles who have been harmed, ill, mistreated, ignored, or abandoned, offer rescue and rehabilitation services.

Under an Administrative Rehabilitation Permit issued by the MS Department of Animals, Fisheries, and Parks, they are qualified to treat wildlife.

They aim to return all native turtles that have undergone rehabilitation to their original habitat. Turtles not native to Mississippi either live safely under their care or are given new homes through adoption to suited owners.

Bichon Frise Club of America Charitable Trust

When a Bichon is given up to their organization, a foster adopts the Bichon into their warm home. Fosters get to know the dog, watch for any behavioral problems, and determine whether it is suitable for adoption.

Fully vetted, heartworm-tested, microchipped and immunized the Bichon. There are discussions on urgent medical issues.

All dogs have been neutered or spayed, except for tiny puppies. The difficult task of locating the Pup’s new ideal home then begins. They look at the list of current applications and past adopters. Fosters undertake house inspections and interviews with potential adopters.

After completing the adoption paperwork and identifying the ideal family, the Fluff will begin a new life. The foster maintains contact with the adoption to address any issues.
