Main Plot: Rocky Balboa is accompanied by his friend Apollo Creed, who will compete against Ivan Drago. This Russian boxer has been scientifically trained and uses high-tech equipment. Rocky blames himself when his friend Apollo is killed by Drago during the match. He vows revenge on Drago in the ring in the name of Apollo and the United States. Rocky travels to the Soviet Union, against the wishes of his wife Adrian, to face Drago, and decides to hire Apollo’s former manager Duke to assist him in preparing for the fight. While Drago improves his incredible punching power with high-tech equipment, Rocky strengthens up in a compound in the frozen Soviet countryside. It is under Duke’s supervision, with his sights set on destroying Drago.
