Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry

A 501(c)(3) non-profit with a volunteer and donation-based model, Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry. They want to keep the pets at home with their families.

Those who volunteered at nearby animal shelters formed PHPFP in December 2016. During their volunteer work, they saw animals given up because their owners could not provide for them financially.

They can tell that animals were well-loved and cared for because they saw the devastation by pet owners. Their pantry was created to reduce this as the main cause of pets ending up in shelters.

Their team puts a lot of effort into ensuring that these pets never experience shelter life or become estranged from their primary owners.

The Next Chapter Pet Rescue

Since September 2021, two friends who were initially only trying to help a few cats have been able to assist over 100 cats!

They are still establishing The Next Chapter Pet Rescue’s presence in the neighborhood because it is a new rescue. Since donations and volunteers entirely support them, they must limit the number of applicants.

Their mission has been to assist many gently used animals in receiving the necessary medical care. They seek out kind individuals who welcome their pets into their homes and hearts.

They intend to outgrow their current location eventually so they can contribute to the next chapter involving even more homeless animal friends.
