Kitty City S.O.S. Charitable

Kitty City S.O.S. (Save Our Strays) takes unadoptable cats from the neighborhood shelter, where they would otherwise be put to death. At Kitty City S.O.S., kittens have access to 5 acres of fenced-in land where they are protected from coyote and raptor attacks.

All cats are spayed or neutered and given an ear tip to wear as identification. All cats receive monthly flea medications as well as any essential medical care.

Kitty City S.O.S.’s goal is to prevent the euthanasia of any cats at the neighborhood shelter due to space constraints. Kitty City, therefore, has well over 100 cats. And Kitty City needs the community’s help to keep up this job.

Animal Helper

They are a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and cats in need of new homes and is situated in New Orleans, Louisiana. They save pets from the streets and undesirable circumstances and kill shelters.

They nurture them back to health, have them properly examined by a veterinarian, neutered or spayed, and are current on all immunizations. They then place them in foster homes for training before finding their forever homes.

Animal Helper’s guiding idea to accept animals regardless of whether or not they are “adoptable” distinguishes them from other rescue groups in New Orleans. They will take them if they are healthy or damaged and can be treated.

They will take them even if they aren’t the shelter’s cutest pets.

Schnauzer Rescue of Louisiana

Schnauzer Rescue of Louisiana, also known as NOLA Schnauzer Rescue, was founded to save and place schnauzers in loving homes, one dog at a time. These dogs are surrendered by their owners, taken in by shelters, or found on the street.

All rescues undergo a thorough examination, vaccinations, spaying or neutering, heartworm testing, and treatment if positive. They also chip every dog!

To adopt from them, you must apply with two personal references and a veterinarian reference. If the adoptive family cannot continue to care for the pet for some reason, they will require the adoptive family to sign a contract stipulating that the animal be returned to Schnauzer Rescue.

Cuba’s Horses Inc

Cuba’s Horses use working horses in Cuba. These horses are used in private businesses rather than for recreational purposes. The horses in their program carry people and products so their owners can make a living.

Their families would go without food if the horses were unhealthy. Cubans take care of their horses, although doing so is challenging due to a scarcity of supplies and medications.

They started working on a somewhat different path in August 2016 after obtaining their 501 (3)(c) non-profit status. They intended to collaborate closely with the cooperatives—organizations to which the individual coach drivers belong.

They also offer education to horse owners, farriers, and veterinarians in addition to the essential equipment.
