Panama Andy’s BK Cat Rescue

PABCR was started in early 2020 to help Brooklyn’s and the neighborhood’s wild cat population.

They have saved over 20 cats and kittens quickly, and many of them have found permanent homes.

They constructed several heated shelters on the site, which is currently the location of a sizable wild cat colony. They intend to construct much more protection around the borough.

Implementing a Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) program entails catching feral cats and spaying or neutering them. They then release them back into the community shelters they have built, where they will be fed and watched.

Their main goal will be to reduce the number of abandoned cats.

Bushwick Street Cats

The non-profit Bushwick Street Cats, Inc. is registered under IRS code 501(c)(3). They aim to adopt the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) method to lower the number of feral cats in Bushwick and the surrounding region.

They occasionally stumble across tame cats while working on their TNR operations. They place them in loving homes and foster them.

They don’t take cats from individuals or other shelters since they are not a shelter. They collaborate with a network of organizations that share their values, some of which are TNR-based, classic rescue organizations, and some do both.

Their mentor organization is Neighborhood Cats, which effectively started the TNR community in New York City. Some of their biggest competitors include North Brooklyn Cats, Big City Little Kitty, Bedford Corners Community Cats, and Thundercats TNR.

Consider fostering, adopting, or even volunteering!

Pilots To The Rescue

In their first mission, Michael Schneider and Brian Orter set out to save a litter of pups from North Carolina that had been abandoned and were about to be put down. Ten canines were given by this rescue to be adopted by devoted owners.

Less than a year later, Michael’s ambition of merging his passion for flying with animal rescue became a reality because of the effective life curriculum taught at Landmark.

Michael enlisted his friends and family in less than 48 hours and donated more than $10,000 for Pilots To The Rescue’s start-up costs.

An organization for public benefit flying that is non-profit and volunteer-driven is Pilots To The Rescue (PTTR). The goal of PTTR is to move vulnerable individuals and animals.

Your assistance in any form is highly appreciated!

Big Hands Little Paws

According to Big Hands Little Paws, all animals should get humane treatment, including food, housing, medical attention, and respect. They should also have their other fundamental requirements satisfied.

Animals are frequently overlooked, abused, and disregarded. There are tens of millions of strays in the United States. The majority of them will suffer and not survive, and 3 to 4 million cats and dogs are predicted to be put to death each year in shelters.

In response to the shockingly high number of abandoned, mistreated, and neglected cats and dogs in the Greater New York City region, Big Hands Little Paws was established.

Their goal is to make these creatures’ lives better. You can help them too!

Rebound Hounds

According to Rebound Hounds, every dog can find a wonderful home. The fundamental challenge of rescue is how to make that happen.

RH is dedicated to matching up canines with guardians who are the best fit. They accomplish this by getting to know both the dog and the potential guardian.

They ask ACC employees and volunteers to assess temperaments to match dogs with the best homes. Although it could be better, it helps determine who the dog should go to.

They then discover more about the adopters. They consider tolerances, experience, energy level, and way of life. It conveys expectations and commitment for life, not just the upcoming weeks when the dog enters their lives.

Lastly, they maintain contact. They remain accessible to provide assistance, support, and guidance beyond the initial house visit. They are interested in hearing how everyone is adjusting.

Their responsibility is to assist the dog’s owner during the procedure.

Cat by Cat Rescue

They are an entirely volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization. They have had the honor of helping more than 500 cats and kittens in the Western New York region since they began in May 2020.

They collaborate with other adoption groups to assist stray-friendly cats and kittens in finding devoted homes. A cat forced to live outside and depends on humans’ goodwill to survive is called a community cat.

They want to use targeted Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR) techniques to help manage this population. Educating, embracing, and enabling individuals to effect change is the best way to have a good influence.

They welcome individuals who share their conviction that every cat’s life is important, and they take satisfaction in the job they undertake. Volunteer your time here at CCR!

Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition/Brooklyn Cat Cafe

A group of animal rescuers established the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Care Coalition (BBAWC) in 2007. Their goal is to enhance the welfare of stray animals in Brooklyn.

The group started collaborating with individual animal rescues to offer low-cost veterinary treatments, an adoption listing, and screening services. They are pleased to be one of the first cat cafés in the US and the first to open in the most populated borough of New York City, Brooklyn Cat Cafe.

They are the only cafe in the city operated by an animal rescue non-profit. Their goal is to save the cats in their community.

One way they achieve this is by providing cat enthusiasts of all ages with a cool and welcoming place to mingle with adoptable pets and other cat lovers!

Beastly Rescue

The rescue was previously a group dedicated to saving animals. Two ladies living in New York City started it in 2011 and ran it.

Although it was modest, it had enormous aims, and it soon established a respectable reputation in the rescue world despite its small size.

The rescue eventually expanded to use an interstate network of foster homes and a city-based group of volunteers who gave unflaggingly to the cause.

This crew molded the refuge into a tenacious and dependable group that was never hesitant to speak up and steadfast in its objective to rescue properly. But with development comes change, and the rescue goes by the moniker BEASTLY.

Join them in rescuing animals that deserve a second chance!
