Paws to Love Me

“PAWS TO LOVE ME” was created to make spaying and neutering cats and dogs easier in NW Arkansas. Their long-term objective is to provide free neutering and spaying to any nearby cats or dogs.

They urge pet owners to neuter or spay their dogs and cats medically and make financial assistance available if necessary. They consult with people, teams, and neighborhood associations.

Speaking to elementary and middle school children is prioritized, enhancing the likelihood that the next generation will be more informed and proactive. Additionally, “PAWS TO LOVE ME” saves cats and dogs slated for euthanasia in shelters because of age, heartworm status, or space constraints.

After receiving them, they take care of any medical issues, neuter or spay them, and then list the animals for adoption.

Save the lives of shelter dogs by adopting them, promoting local foster care, encouraging neutering/spaying, and firmly supporting a “first in line for adoption.” In animal shelters around the nation, a dog or cat is put to death every 1.5 seconds.

Mew Cat Rescue

Mew was founded in March 2019. A group of volunteers in the area’s animal welfare community recognized a need and realized they had the will and means to help. They are able to carry out their work thanks to the community’s adoption, donations, and support.

Local, county or state organizations do not provide us with any funding or donations to meet this requirement. Are you willing to assist us? You don’t need any prior experience to foster children or volunteer today.

In the interim, as they wait to be adopted into a permanent home, their organization is dedicated to keeping pets secure, content, and healthy.

Whiskers Rescue

Whiskers Rescue aims to spay and neuter wild, untamed cats and then release them back into their natural habitat, where they can live out their lives without adding to the stray cat population. Cats born outside, without human interaction, are considered feral and should not be kept as pets. However, without human assistance, cats are destined to lead brief, wretched lives while giving birth to litter after litter of kittens who will share the same destiny. The only way to help is to trap these cats, spay or neuter them, and then release them back into their own region.

The cats are given shelter and food to stop the cycle from repeating, and the colony is watched for new arrivals.

Crystal Creek Rescue

They work with the community to meet their needs for owner surrenders, rescues, TNR, and management of feral cat colonies. Since they do not have a facility, they constantly work to engage the community.

This can increase the number of volunteers, raise awareness of the problem of unchecked cat populations, and encourage those who assist to feel a sense of service.

Ruby’s Rescue & Refuge

Their goal is to assist in the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of homeless dogs that are thought to be difficult to place due to their age, breed, or handicap. All the dogs cared for at Ruby’s Rescue & Refuge live in a home-like environment where they are allowed to “roam” and use a dog door to let themselves in and out.

They believe that if they can become accustomed to living in a home, it will be simpler for them to shift to permanent residence. By demonstrating to their dogs what it means to be a part of a home and family, they hope to set them up for success.

No-kill dog rescue and shelter Ruby’s Rescue and Refuge is a 501c3 organization.

In the interim, as they wait to be adopted into a permanent home, their organization is dedicated to keeping pets secure, content, and healthy.

I’m Your Huckleberry Rescue, Inc.

They are a 501c3 non-profit organization with offices mostly in Benton and Washington counties in NW Arkansas and McDonald and Newton counties in SW Missouri. They are a dog rescue with a foster/volunteer program.

They require volunteers to perform various tasks, not all of which are directly linked to dogs, to run their rescue successfully. Do you have time once or twice a week to wash dog blankets? How about getting pets to veterinarian appointments? Making phone calls? Office work? Do you frequently use social media? If taking pictures is one of your hobbies, why not spend some time at one of their adoption events and capture it on camera? If you can imagine anything, chances are they need your assistance to make it happen. The best thing is that you are compensated with puppy kisses, and let me tell you, visiting a dog is far less expensive than visiting a couch! It’s time for you to lead the change if you wish to contribute to it.
