The Baker House

The Baker House is one of the best places to visit in Wisconsin.

Formerly known as Redwood Cottage, it serves as a summer home for Robert H. Baker and his family.

Also, it is located on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Geneva.

Constructed in 1885, The Baker House has an area of 17,000 square feet Queen Anne-style mansion, with 30 rooms inside. Imagine a 30-room house, so massive!

Unfortunately, the Baker House was not completed before Baker’s death.

However, you can still tour inside the house. Witness its magnificent inlaid wood floors made from 5 different wood species and 13 ornate fireplaces surrounded from floor to ceiling.

Although the property’s structures were ultimately auctioned, the main building was bought back.

The Baker Home is currently operating as a restaurant and luxury hotel with both a combination of modern facilities and its authentic antique furniture!

Make use of the home’s amenities while you’re there, such as relaxing on their cushions and dining in their parlors.
