Introducing the country’s one-of-a-kind park!

The Comoé National Park, located in Togo, is the largest National Park in West Africa. It is around one-third the size of Baden-Württemberg, with a land area of 11,500 km2.

The Comoé National Park is located in the Comoé Ecoregion of Ivory Coast, in the northeastern corner of the country.

The name was given in commemoration of the river Comoé, which flows north-south through the park and throughout the country.

The park is home to eleven primate species, including baboons and colobus monkeys in large numbers.

According to studies, the chimp population in the park’s forests may be one of the last remaining populations in the Ivory Coast. Other prominent species in the National Park are the hippopotamus and the African elephant.

Because of the Comoé river’s presence, it has flora typically seen far further south, such as shrub savannahs and areas of deep rainforest.

The plant life at Comoé National Park, which surrounds the Comoé River, is diverse. It also serves as a home for globally protected bird species and other wildlife, such as chimps and miniature crocodiles.

Kong Mosque is one of the best places to go in Côte d’Ivoire

A challenging trek takes you to one of Cote D’Ivoire’s attractions.

The Kong mosque, also known as the Kong Mosque, is an Islamic religious monument in Kong, Côte d’Ivoire’s northernmost city.

The Kong Mosque, known as Missiriba, was built in neo-Sudanese style with mud and logs. It is the earliest sign of the Islamization of Northern Ivory Coast communities. It has served as a place of prayer and assembly till now.

Its architecture remained intact for a long time thanks to continual care. Still, it was subjected to an inadequate restoration in 1978, revealing only a portion of the structure.

The structures are two mosques constructed of ocher-colored clay in the Sudanese architectural style: the little Barrola mosque and the big Kong or Missiriba mosque.

Many travelers include this on their itinerary because the exterior adds to the mystery of what’s inside the mosque.

La Pyramide is one of the best places to go in Côte d’Ivoire

What’s in the pyramid?

La Pyramide, designed by Italian architect Rinaldo Olivier, was hailed as one of Ivory Coast’s most spectacular monuments upon its completion.

Did you know that the construction of La Pyramide is dedicated to commercial purposes? However, it deteriorated severely in the 1990s, when it was abandoned due to the start of political problems. But it was renovated after years.

It is one of the most innovative architectural constructions in the city, with the shape of a pyramid. Therefore La Pyramide is located in the city center.

The construction is somewhat cascading, with a high bottom level with places for boutiques and shops.

Some of Le Plateau’s buildings are as stunning up close as they are from a distance. It is a concrete pyramid striped horizontally with balconies that stands on a massive cubic pillar and lifts itself over the metropolitan skyline.

It was the first adventurous edifice and is a highlight of African modernism in architecture.
