Main Plot: Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher) assists his younger brother Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) in making the S.S. Georgie. Georgie wants to sail it outside in the pouring rain, but Bill is too sick to join him. Georgie runs out to play after they hug each other. Georgie sails down the street in his boat. He pursues it and accidentally hits a roadblock. The boat sails to the end of the road before collapsing into the sewer. Georgie rushes to get it, fearful that Bill will be enraged. A pair of yellow eyes appear as he looks into the sewer. They are the property of a being known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgard). Pennywise speaks to Georgie in a playful tone before offering him his boat back. Pennywise grabs Georgie’s arm and sinks his massive teeth into it as he reaches for it. Georgie’s arm is severed, and he is left crying for Bill before being dragged down into the sewers.

Main Plot: This film is split into three stories which follow a boy whose fond of the horror comic book Creepshow and is bullied by four teenagers who buy seeds of a carnivorous plant. (1) “Old Chief Wood’nhead” – The elders’ Ray and Martha Spruce, have lived their whole life and raised their family with their small store in an Arizona town. Now the town is economically decadent, and Ray gives credit to his customers, including the Indians of Ben Whitemoon’s tribe. (2) “The Raft” – Deke and Randy are teenagers who travel to a lake with Laverne and Rachel, expecting to smoke weed, swim, and get laid. They swim to a raft floating in the middle of the lake, but they come across a hungry carnivorous blob in the lake. (3) “The Hitchhiker” – In Maine, the dishonest Annie Lansing stays long having sex with her escort and misses her husband’s flight. She is in a hurry and loses control of her Mercedes Benz. Annie hits a hitchhiker, but she doesn’t help him and drives away, questioning whether she can live with the situation. She learns that the hitchhiker will not leave her alone.

Main Plot: The film begins with a late-shift worker in a textile company’s basement floor feeding cotton bales into a large industrial machine. He takes a break and notices that the thermometer on the wall reads more than 100 degrees. In frustration, the worker pounds his fist against a support beam, and a rusty nail protruding from the beams ruptures his hand. He visits the medical cabinet and obtains anti-bacterial ointment and gauze for his wound. As the rats gather to watch the late-shift worker, he begins to taunt and threaten them. He throws a rat into the large industrial machine, and we watch as the rat is ripped apart and blood stains the cotton. The rats tend as he continues to taunt them. A large shadow appears, and the worker turns to face a terrifying sight. He is slaughtered after stumbling backward into the industrial machine. The rats consume his remains.

Main Plot: An incredible documentary about three elderly men who serve as troop greeters in Bangor, Maine. Kindness is a human virtue that can both be caught and taught. Long ago, the quality of life was what ensured the survival of communities. In South Africa, ubuntu refers to a sense of personhood in which each individual is seen as interdependent with others. We are bonded because we share and care; we have an innate desire to assist others. Kindness is highlighted in all religions worldwide. Recent scientific research has shown that it is also good for our health and makes us happier. But keep this in mind: kindness is a choice; we choose to make a difference in someone else’s life.
