Karel Capek, a famed Czech writer, regarded this as “The towers of all towers.”

This circular six-story tower, flanked by the Little Castle’s residential palace, is on a narrow rocky outcrop between the 1st and 2nd Courtyards of Cesky Krumlov Castle, towering above Latrán and the Vltava River. 

The outward appearance of the tower indicates that its roots are partially Gothic and partly Renaissance.

Like the Little Castle, the tower is part of a building dating back to the first half of the thirteenth century. 

The ground and first floors of Castle Tower are the oldest parts of the structure.

On top of the deep gorge, the Cloak bridge rises. It is made up of five tiers and connects the castle’s four main courtyards with the fifth courtyard, which is located on a neighboring cliff.

Walking around the Minorite Monastery is a quick stop but one of the nicest things to do in Cesky Krumlov.

This monastery has a unique history because both Catholic nuns and monks shared the premises and lived together. Despite having segregated sleeping quarters, it is reported that a few births occurred within the monastery. 

A brewery dating from 1560 was also connected to the monastery.
