Main Plot: Amistad is the name of a slave ship that traveled from Cuba to the United States in 1839. It carries a cargo of Africans sold as slaves to Cuba, embarked and chained in the ship’s hold. As the boat crosses Cuba to the United States, Cinque (Djimon Hounsou), a tribal chief in Africa, leads a mutiny and takes control of the ship. They set sail, hoping to find their way back to Africa. But, they are misled, and when they reach the United States, they are imprisoned as runaway slaves. They don’t speak English and appear on death row for killing their captors. An abolitionist lawyer takes their case, arguing that they are free citizens of another country and not enslaved people. The case eventually went to the Supreme Court, where John Quincy Adams (Sir Anthony Hopkins) argued passionately and eloquently for their release.

Main Plot: U-2 surveillance images from October 1962 show that the Soviet Union is putting nuclear weapons in Cuba. So the Pentagon suggested that the United States launch military operations against Cuba. It might pave the way for yet another invasion of the island by the United States. At first, he focuses on three misbehaving children. He tried to be polite to them, but they skipped the pages to end the ordeal. When the Elder calls him about this, she says, “You are a heinous, ugly, horrible man, and you shouldn’t be allowed to do this. Theophilus agrees that he shouldn’t be allowed to do this, taking chopsticks from one child. Even pinning another to the ground and electrocuting the girl directly on her nose.
